Your relationships bring feelings of safety and security when they are healthy and stress when they are not.

Dating

Dating in the world of apps and hook-up culture can certainly be a challenge. You go from feeling like there are endless options to no options in what feels like no time at all. This can cause dating burnout, leaving you feeling defeated and discouraged. Maybe you’ve been in a toxic/abusive relationship in the past and find that it still haunts you with new partners. Maybe you find yourself bending over backward for people who don’t seem to do the same for you. Together we will work on strengthening your relationship with yourself so that you can share it with whoever you deem fit!

Romantic Partnerships

Not all conflict is bad conflict. But when it feels like all you do with your partner(s) is argue, it can leave you feeling unsatisfied. You may have heard the phrase, “communication is key.” Although that is true, breaking down the fundamentals of HOW to communicate more effectively can connect you more to your partner(s) and create a deeper understanding. I work with partners on how to effectively manage conflicts that arise, communicate their needs in ways that are heard, and rebuild connections.

Other Relationships

Relationships don’t just come from the world of romance. We are in relationships with family members, friends, co-workers, even with ourselves. My lens as a couple and family therapist looks at how your relationships with other people and things around you affect you, and vice versa. I use a systems-based approach to help you identify strengths within those bonds and apply them to those areas that need to grow.
